Living with an extremely rare type of cancer

Priscilla-Rose, 3, from Tadley, Hampshire, was diagnosed with Juvenile myelomonocytic leukaemia (JMML) after a long 17 months of mis-diagnosis and lengthy waits for treatment. This extremely rare type of cancer accounts for only 1% of childhood leukaemia’s worldwide. Priscilla-Rose’s mum, Allena, shares her story:

Marking two years of supporting families at Worthing Hospital

Momentum Children’s Charity is marking two years since it started working in partnership with Worthing Hospital to support families who have a child receiving treatment for cancer or another life-challenging condition. With NHS budgets stretched to the maximum, Momentum is filling a gap by providing emotional and practical support to families at a time when it is desperately needed.

Finding support and hope after losing a child

Peter and Harley very sadly lost one of their twin sons, James, in February 2021, when he was just 21 months old. Peter and Harley, from Woking, Surrey, have been receiving support from Momentum’s bereavement support service, Echoes. Peter shares their story:
