Ellis’s story
Ellis’s sister, Robyn, was first found to have a tumour in December 2021 and after almost a year since Robyn first became unwell, the family received her formal diagnosis of a DNET brain tumour in May 2022. While most of the focus was understandably on Robyn’s treatment, the impact on Ellis, 9, has been profound too. Over the last two years the family have navigated the emotional challenges of childhood cancer together. Ellis and Robyn’s mum, Claire, shares their story, shining a light on the often-overlooked experience of siblings living alongside serious illness.
