Move for Momentum raises £25,000
We are delighted to share that this year’s Move for Momentum campaign has raised almost £25,000!

Throughout September, people of all ages came together to get active, take on challenges and raise vital funds for Momentum. We are very grateful to everyone who took part, donated or helped spread the word.
There are too many people to mention individually, but hundreds of you from across London, Surrey and Sussex got behind some truly wonderful events during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
A special mention to AirHop, who donated a percentage of money from every pair of trampolining socks sold across their 27 UK venues throughout September, raising an astonishing £14,675!
To give a a flavour of some of the other events that took place – another of our brilliant corporate supporters, AMS, organised a special Race Across the World challenge, where two teams completed riddles to get to their next destination and make their way to the finish line.
Amy and Richard challenged themselves to 1,900 vertical feet at White Spider Climbing – that is approximately 60 climbs up the wall, one foot for each of the 1,900 children diagnosed with cancer in the UK every year.
Eleven-year-old Thea, a Momentum Young Ambassador, from Surrey, took on Burford Spur, the steepest section of Box Hill, completing an incredible 22 ascents and descents.

David, a Momentum volunteer from London, organised a scenic 10-mile walk around Bushy Park with 14 other walkers and three young cyclists, Choe, 11, Miles, 6, Max, 4 completed a seven-mile cycle along the River Thames towpath from Weybridge to Sunbury Lock and back.
Oatlands school in Weybridge organised a high-energy Danceathon in their playground and our CEO Sarah, completed an exhausting 24-hour Danceathon!
Yoga teacher Lynsey hosted a special class, Momentum supporter Sandy walked 150 miles throughout September, and Emma committed to walking three miles every day for the whole month. Our long-standing supporters Colets Health and Fitness also got involved, with both the nursery and gym organising their own lively events.
Claire, from Molesey, organised a special sell-out Move for Momentum Quiz Night. She said: “More than 85 people took part, and we had 10 teams in total. The best bit was the ‘sing-off’ round with teams having to fill in the missing lines to a song – it became very competitive as each table took their turn, and there was even a dance-off involved! Massive thanks to Megan from Music and Smiles who was our quiz host who kindly donated her time, and Rob, a Momentum Trustee who added in some variety with general knowledge and sports rounds.”
Claire continued: “I would encourage anyone who would like to do a bit of fundraising to think about what they enjoy doing and bring a group of friends together to organise it. We had a lot of fun and are now we are thinking about what the next event for Momentum could be!”
