We’ll be there as long as we’re needed.

Should the unthinkable happen, Momentum Echoes is here to support you and your family through your grief.  There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and no set timeline for how you should feel. That’s why we’ll take our lead from you, offering support in the way that feels right for your family, for as long as you need us.

You may already know Momentum because we’ve supported your family through your child’s illness or during palliative care. Or you may be coming to us for the first time after the death of a child, whether that loss was expected, sudden or unexpected.

However you find your way to us, we’re here for you.

We know that every family’s experience of bereavement is different. We’ll take time to understand what you and the people closest to you need, both now and in the weeks, months and years ahead.

Whether you’d like someone to talk to on the phone, support in your home, help navigating practical matters, or simply the reassurance of knowing we’re here when you’re ready, we’ll move at your pace.

How Momentum Echoes can help

What you need may change over time. Our support is personal to your family and can include practical help, emotional support and opportunities to remember your child and spend time together.

Funeral arrangements

Arranging a funeral can feel incredibly overwhelming, so we can help with appointing a funeral director and creating a personal and meaningful funeral that really honours the child.

Events, trips & experiences

Navigating bereavement can be all-consuming. Our Echoes events, trips and experiences are designed to give our families a little lift that helps them smile and escape the day to day.

Counselling & creative therapies

Grief is unique. For some people, talking can help, while for others words may feel too hard. We offer a range of therapies for different ages and stages of grief.

Memory making

We can help you explore ways to remember your child, including fingerprint and handprint keepsakes, bespoke jewellery and other personal mementoes.

Respite breaks

Whether you need a few hours away or a change of scenery, our river boat and holiday homes can offer time to connect and a chance to breathe.

Support groups and befriending services

When you feel ready, we can introduce you to other families who are also navigating life after the death of a child.

Precious Moments Tribute Pages

A lasting and meaningful way to remember and celebrate your child’s life. Provide a dedicated online space where family and friends can share memories, photos and music, light virtual candles on special occasions, and support fundraising in their memory.  The page can be created in just a few simple steps and remain available for as long as you wish.

Social work service

Our specialist social worker can help families to access grants and benefits that they are entitled to, as well as providing support around any housing, education or employment concerns.

Other support you may find helpful

Our Echoes team can offer resources and guidance, and help you find support from other trusted organisations.

“Talking to other bereaved dads has really helped me. We have a shared pain, grief and can advise each other on coping mechanisms. We have stayed in one of Momentum’s lodges which was just the break we needed, it was beautiful there and so peaceful, and our eldest son, Arthur, had the best time too.”
