Philanthropy & major gifts

Momentum Children’s Charity works with philanthropists and major donors who want to make a meaningful, long-term difference for children and families facing serious illness or bereavement. Major gifts enable us to plan ahead, strengthen vital services, and provide consistent emotional and practical support when families need it most. We define major gifts as donations of £1,000 and over.

A supported child with a nasogastric tube riding a rocking horse at hospital.
A supported child in hospital watching something on a parent’s phone, with dad and brother lying beside her in the bed.
A hospital room decorated with animal designs and a Winnie the Pooh quote on the wall.

Become a major donor for Momentum Children’s Charity

We are grateful to the community of major donors and philanthropic supporters whose generosity helps Momentum Children’s Charity deliver life-changing support across hospitals and local communities.

While every donation matters, major gifts allow us to invest in long-term programmes, specialist staff, and sustainable services that support families not just today, but well into the future.

What does major giving involve?

We believe philanthropy is personal. We take time to understand what motivates you and how you would like your support to make a difference.

Major donors may choose to support Momentum Children’s Charity through:

  • A one-off major gift
  • Regular monthly giving
  • A multi-year pledge
  • Giving through a private trust
  • Sharing professional expertise, time, or community connections

Some supporters also choose to provide long-term support by leaving a gift in their will, helping to sustain Momentum’s work for future families. There is no single approach. We work with you to find what feels right.
