Top comedians bring laughs and community spirit to Kingston

The Arthur Cotterell Theatre at Kingston College hosted the Comedy Night which featured the brilliant Lucy Porter, the hilarious Harriet Kemsley, and the very funny Mark Thomas.
From the first joke to the final punchline, the crowd roared with laughter, helping to raise an outstanding £4,027 for Momentum Children’s Charity.
For the fourth year running, the event was hosted by the sensational Kingston-based comedian and long-time supporter, Erich McElroy, who kept the audience laughing from start to finish.
Talking about the Comedy Night, Erich McElroy said: “It was such a privilege to host the annual comedy night for Momentum Children’s Charity, there is nothing like a bit (well quite a lot actually) of laughter to bring people together and to raise some money for a brilliant cause. As part of the community, it is always great to engage with such a fantastic charity that is helping local people.”
Behind the scenes, the Momentum team and our incredible volunteers worked tirelessly to keep the evening running smoothly, from the weeks of careful planning to the night itself.
Tara Sherjan, Head of Public Fundraising said: What a fantastic evening! The atmosphere was electric and everyone was in high spirits. A huge thank you to Erich, Lucy, Harriet, and Mark, who all generously donated their time to make the night such a success. We are also incredibly grateful to our wonderful volunteers as these events simply wouldn’t be possible without their dedication and support. We are so proud of what occasions like this achieve – it was an evening that helped raise vital funds so families facing cancer and serious illness never feel alone.”
