Play is an important part of the healing process and a place to play within the hospital is like a safe haven, giving children some control of their environment and a chance to just be children for a few moments.

We were therefore delighted to transform a room in the Casey ward at Epsom Hospital into a brightly-coloured space.

St Faith’s Trust, in Dorking, set up in the 1930s to help children in Surrey, donated £20,000 to Momentum for the project.

I have had such positive feedback from staff and families. It is so bright and inviting and will be a relaxing space for our families to enjoy at what can be a very stressful time.
