We want as many people as possible to be part of this super-fun initiative which will help raise money and awareness for our charity, allowing us to continue being there for families who need our support.

The Move for Momentum challenge aims to be as flexible and inclusive as possible – allowing participants to choose how they move and whether it is for meters, miles, or minutes.

Ideas of how people can Move for Momentum include cycling or walking to school every day in September, bouncing on a trampoline, swimming 1, 5, or 10 miles, or taking on a dancing challenge. People can even think of their own unique idea – anything goes as long as moving is involved! Take on Move for Momentum as a team or individual – whatever works best!

We have put together a helpful fundraising pack with challenge inspiration and information to make the Move for Momentum challenge as straightforward as possible to organise. It includes a simple guide on setting up your fundraising page and tips on how to spread the word and encourage support from friends, family, and members of the local community.

Every penny raised by people taking on a Move for Momentum challenge will help us support families who have a child with cancer.

Sarah Woods, Chief Executive Officer at Momentum said:

“Move for Momentum is a fun way to move your body and do something great during a very important month. Every year more than 1900 families receive the devasting news that their child has cancer, a number that is very sadly increasing. We want to make sure that we can be there every step of the way to offer the right support to families living in London, Surrey and Sussex, but to do that we need to be able to raise vital funds. Please join me this September by taking on a Move for Momentum challenge – together we can make a real difference.”
