This incredible contribution marks the beginning of a new partnership that will span three years, enabling us to provide vital care and support to the families who need it most.

With MERKUR’s support, we will be able to continue delivering and growing a range of experiences for families, which currently include days out on our riverboat and breaks at our respite cabins. Part of MERKUR’s generous funding will also help us to continue delivering Momentum Echoes, our bereavement support service.

Talking about the partnership, Mark Schertle, Chief Operating Officer at MERKUR Casino UK, said: “Momentum’s dedication to supporting children with cancer and other life-challenging conditions truly resonated with our team. As we enter this three-year collaboration, we are proud to be partnering with an organisation where we can see the impact across the communities we serve.”

Last week, Mark Schertle, Chief Operating Officer at MERKUR Casino UK visited our riverboat at Shepperton Marina, and presented our CEO, Sarah Woods with a cheque for £100,000.

Touching on why MERKUR chose to help fund Momentum’s respite services, Mark said: “We recognise that care is not only about responding to hardship, but about enabling moments of connection and joy. We are proud to support services that give families the chance to recharge and simply be together. Seeing the boat in person, bright in Momentum’s colours, and understanding exactly where our support is going, made the impact tangible and reinforced why this collaboration matters.”
