Men swap sneakers for stilettoes in charity challenge

Aneece Bear organised the successful event, which raised over £1,000 for Momentum and Tommy’s charity. Fifteen men took part in the mile-long walk from the Kingfield Arms pub in Woking to the Crown and Anchor pub in Old Woking, and everyone really got in the spirit of the event, not only wearing their heels, but also wearing dresses and wigs too!
Talking about the event, Aneece said: “It was such a fun afternoon! There were a group of scaffolders dressed as the Spice Girls, and lots of passers-by cheering them on and people in their cars hooting their horns. I chose to raise money for Momentum because a friend of mine is being supported by the charity. Her young son had to undergo major surgery and Momentum have been there throughout, providing support and giving them the opportunity to go on holidays to their respite cabins.”
A big thank you to Aneece and everyone who took part in the ‘Walk a mile in her shoes’ challenge – you are all superstars!
