A Momentum Young Ambassador in her charity t-shirt

Using their own experiences and ideas, our Young Ambassadors will organise their own fundraising initiatives while also raising awareness of the charity by supporting campaigns run by us. The team have already had an online meeting where they enthusiastically shared lots of ideas for the year ahead.

Through their involvement with Momentum, we hope our Young Ambassadors will develop lots of skills and experiences which they can hopefully take forward in their studies, extra-curricular activities and careers.

Our Young Ambassadors are Thea, 11, Gracie, 15, Maia, 15, Charlotte, 16, and Anna-Maria, 20.

Talking about her role as a Young Ambassador, Thea said: “For me, being a Young Ambassador means helping other people feel less alone in what they are going through and raising awareness for a charity that has helped me through so much.”

Gracie added: “My hopes for the year ahead as a Young Ambassador for Momentum are to help fundraise, to have a positive input in supporting the charity, and to help create awareness.”

Sarah Woods, CEO at Momentum said: ““We are very excited to welcome our new Young Ambassadors and are so grateful to each of them for taking on this voluntary role. As we look ahead to National Volunteers’ Week, it feels especially important to recognise the time, energy and enthusiasm they are giving to support Momentum and other families like theirs. Their voices, ideas and experiences are really valuable, and we are looking forward to seeing the friendships, experiences and skills they build as part of the programme.”
