A young boy and his mum gather with two volunteers from Momentum Children's Charity for den building event.

Den building gave children the opportunity to play, build, and work as a team to create little woodland retreats and much-needed shelters during a hot day! Having a safe outside space for children to explore and have fun meant a lot to families we support.

The coffee morning gave parents the opportunity to take some time for themselves, relax and connect with others who understand the challenges they are facing. Parents could share experiences, ask questions, or simply enjoy some time out.

The tour of the park for grandparents gave them a chance to enjoy some time for themselves and build connections with others who understand what they are going through.

Created in the 18th century by Charles Hamilton, Painshill, in Cobham, Surrey, was designed as a living work of art. Visitors can explore its landscapes, discover hidden features, enjoy the peaceful lakes and take in the views as they wander through the park.

Painshill’s Education Access Fund aims to provide access to open spaces, learning outside of the classroom, and a location to share history with individuals who face hurdles to accessing the landscape.

Looking ahead to the summer holidays, we have another exciting event coming up at Painshill Park – our Sibling’s Mud and Bugs Adventure on Wednesday 12 August. We also have a range of other activities taking place across London, Sussex and Surrey, giving families more opportunities to come together, have fun and make special memories.
