Momentum meets Elmbridge Mayor at volunteer event

The fair brought together local charities, community groups and organisations looking for volunteers.

Attendees were able to meet local groups and learn about their work, discover volunteering opportunities that matched their skills and interests, and find out how they could make a real difference in their community.

Talking about the event, Momentum’s Volunteer Coordinator, Claire, said: “The event had a fantastic atmosphere and there was a real sense of energy throughout the day. It was a pleasure to meet the Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Steve Bax, and Councillor Judy Sarsby. Their presence showed a genuine commitment to volunteering and made the event feel truly valued.”

Claire continued: “I spoke to many people who were keen to learn more about volunteering with Momentum, with three signing up on the day and others taking away information to explore further. It was also wonderful to talk to existing volunteers and supporters. Events like this are invaluable for spreading the word and highlighting what a rewarding charity Momentum is to volunteer with.”
