A team of employees from Robeco take on a fundraising challenge for Momentum.

The global asset manager, whose UK base is in London, selected Momentum following a staff vote.

Talking about the partnership, Dorcas Phillips, who leads Robeco’s Charitable and Social Committee in the UK and is Head of ETF Capital Markets said: ” The Robeco Foundation is committed to promoting equal opportunities for children worldwide through education and other support programs. We shortlisted a number of charities supporting families across London and the surrounding areas whose values aligned with those of our foundation and then invited our staff to choose who they wanted to support. Supporting Momentum is about giving something back. In a busy, fast-paced workplace, our goal is to raise awareness of Momentum and, by the end of the year, look back knowing we have made a meaningful contribution. We see this partnership as an opportunity to bring our employees together around a shared purpose, while supporting an incredible charity.”

Layla Szyndler, Office Manager at Robeco added: “We have had great fun for example in getting involved in fundraising activities such as the Easter egg hunt and our ‘guess the number of mini eggs in the jar’ competition. The team at Momentum have been incredibly supportive, helping us with ideas, while giving us the freedom to be creative in our approach.”

Annie Hashtari, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Momentum Children’s Charity, said: “We are so pleased to have been chosen as Robeco’s UK office Charity of the Year and are incredibly grateful for the donation contribution from the Robeco Foundation. It was a pleasure to meet the team earlier this year at a Lunch and Learn session, where we heard so many fantastic fundraising ideas. It has been wonderful to see employees embrace the partnership so enthusiastically, bringing ideas to life through initiatives such as the office Easter egg hunt and quiz night, with more planned in the months ahead. Every penny raised through this partnership will help us continue supporting families with seriously ill children across London, Surrey and Sussex.”
