Our wonderful CEO, Sarah Woods, is taking on The Thames Path challenge on Saturday 13 September. Her Move for Momentum adventure will see her walk 28km along the Thames towpath, from Bishops Park in Fulham, to Hurst Park in Hampton.

Talking about Move for Momentum and her challenge, Sarah said: “The great thing about Move for Momentum is that anyone can get involved – you don’t have to be super-fit, and not all challenges require intense amounts of training or time. I have really enjoyed training for The Thames Path, I am gradually increasing the number of miles I am walking and have been enjoying plotting lots of great new walking routes. From my own training, I have learnt that movement can be a medicine for the mind- as well as having numerous physical benefits.”

Sarah continued: “If you can, please consider being part of Move for Momentum. Every step taken and every penny raised in September will have a lasting impact on families we support.”

We would love to see as many of you as possible taking on your own Move for Momentum challenge! You can get active in whatever way suits you best – it could be scootering or skipping to school throughout September, hula-hooping around the garden, swimming 1, 5, or even 10 miles, or taking on a fun run. You could even invent your own unique way to get moving! Families, schools, and community groups are all encouraged to take part.
