Momentum’s riverboat is moored at Shepperton Marina and the team there have been kindly supporting Momentum for several years. They sold more than 300 tickets for a raffle as generous customers and local businesses bought tickets in the hope of winning a larger-than-life chocolate egg which weighed a whopping 4kg!

Sarah McMillen, Assistant Marina Manager said: “We originally planned to raffle a modest 2kg egg, until Andy Timms, the main building contractor at the Marina, raised the stakes and offered to donate a larger 4kg egg. Within twenty minutes, the order for the egg was placed, sparking discussions on logistics on how to ensure the preservation of the sizable 52cm high thick chocolate delight, until the Easter festivities were upon us.

Sarah continued: “The draw took place on Sunday 31 March – it was one of Izzy the Easter Bunny’s primary duties for the day. Congratulations to John French, one of our valued customers for securing his delightful win with winning ticket, number 506. The Shepperton Marina team really appreciate everyone who generously purchased raffle tickets. Together, we raised over £320, a significant contribution to a vital charity dedicated to supporting children and families coping with serious illnesses”.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone at Shepperton Marina – you are egg-ceptional!
