Generously sponsored by Air Charter Service, the event once again welcomed celebrity guests from The Stage Golfing Society. Among the many familiar faces lending their support and star power to the day were ‘Life on Mars’ star Philip Glenister and former Wimbledon Doubles Champion, Peter Fleming.

Teeing off in the morning

An early morning shotgun start saw 22 teams make their way around the picturesque parkland course for an 18-hole competition. Teams vied for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize-winning finishes, as well as kudos for hitting the Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin.

Following the competition, players gathered on the terrace for a well-deserved drink before heading inside for a delicious three-course lunch. Guests were treated to an extraordinary performance by mind reader and mentalist, Matt Daniel-Baker, who left the audience spellbound.

Heartfelt speeches

The afternoon continued with a heartfelt farewell speech from outgoing CEO, Bianca Effemey, marking her final day after 21 years of dedicated service. The room was then brought to its feet in a standing ovation following a moving and inspiring speech by one of Momentum’s Young Ambassadors, 13-year-old Howard Thomas who courageously shared his personal story of his battle with cancer.

A lively auction

The excitement continued with a lively fundraising auction, brilliantly directed by our charismatic auctioneers, Sion Tudor-Owen and Philip Glenister. Standout items included a premium Callaway Golf Bag signed by 2024 PGA Champion Xander Schauffele, a pair of tickets to The Lion King at London’s Lyceum Theatre with an exclusive backstage tour led by George Asprey (Scar), and a round of golf for two with stars, Philip Glenister and Ian Ashpitel.

Supporting an incredible cause

The Momentum Charity Golf Day has become a cherished highlight of our fundraising calendar, made possible by the enthusiastic teams who join us each year, our celebrity supporters, the warm hospitality of The Richmond Golf Club, our dedicated volunteers, and the generous donors of our auction and raffle prizes.

This year’s event raised over £15,000 to support Momentum families, a testament to the community spirit and generosity of everyone involved.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s event, which will take place on Friday 29th May 2026. Mark your calendars and come join the fun!
