Terms and Conditions

Please take the time to read through our TERMS & CONDITIONS of the use of our boat. By signing, you indicate that you and all the adults in your party, accept these terms & conditions and that you agree to abide by them. If you have any questions on these terms & conditions please email us at respite@momentumcharity.org. If you do not accept these terms & conditions, then a booking will not be approved.

Terms and Conditions(Required)

1. All persons under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult for safety reasons. Children must always be supervised and are not allowed to be in the wheelhouse unless dis-embarking.
2. Your children are your own responsibility throughout your stay, please ensure they are supervised, by you, at all times, taking particular care while on the chain ferry and boat deck.
3. All persons on the boat must wear a suitable life-jacket when on the open deck area.
4. You confirm that you are over 21 years of age.
5. Only named people on your reservation form can use the boat and anyone not listed will be asked to leave.
6. The number of persons permitted to stay overnight on the boat must not exceed 4, and must be the named persons on your booking form.
7. Smoking is not permitted on the boat.
8. Pets are not allowed on the boat.
9. If any person acts unreasonably, causing damage to property or annoyance to other users of the marina, or other boat users they may be asked to disembark the boat / leave the marina as appropriate.
10. Momentum is not responsible for any loss or damage to you or your party’s belongings.
11. Momentum is not responsible for any personal injury to or death of you or your party whilst using the boat or during embarkation or disembarkation. You and your party use the pontoons and quays entirely at your and their own risk.
12. In the event of severe weather, high winds, bad river conditions or if the boat is unavailable due to breakdown Momentum reserves the right to cancel your booking.
13. Boating can be hazardous. While Momentum has taken all reasonable care in the preparation of the boat and in the provision of safety equipment, you and your party are responsible for your own safety and the safety of third parties.
14. Please ensure that you follow and adhere to at all times any safety instructions given to you by our boat manager
15. You agree to clean and tidy the boat before you leave and to leave it as you would expect to find it.
16. You agree to remove all rubbish & dispose of responsibly.
17. Please avoid using the bathroom on the boat while the boat is stationary, and instead use the toilet and shower block at the marina – which is 2 minutes walk from the boat and is cleaned regularly. Please note there will be no hot water when the boat is stationary.
18. You and your party will be responsible for reimbursing Momentum for any loss or damage to the boat or its equipment caused by the action or negligence of you or your party. You and your party will also be responsible for reimbursing Momentum for any loss or damage to any third party caused by the action or negligence of you or your party which is not covered by Momentum’s insurance, and if the insurance does cover the same the excess on the insurance policy.
19. You and your party will report all damage or loss as soon as you can to Momentum.
20. You agree to ensure that all members of the party understand and comply with these terms & conditions.

I confirm I have read the terms and conditions above, and I understand and agree to be bound to and to comply fully with the same. I also agree that the employees, agents, volunteers or anyone else acting on Momentum’s behalf are entitled to the benefit of this agreement and are entitled to enforce it in their own name.

Please be aware that bookings are dependent on suitable weather and river conditions and we may have to cancel at short notice. If this is the case, we will let you know as soon as possible.
