“In April 2017, at the age of 14, I was diagnosed with mixed phenotype leukaemia. Life for me and my family was very different during my two and a half years of treatment and Momentum provided invaluable support.
In 2023, I graduated from the University of Birmingham with a 2:1 in Biomedical Science. I completed a six-month placement at a science communication agency before backpacking around Australia and Southeast Asia for five months. Some of my favourite moments included skydiving onto a beach in Australia, a breathtaking hot air balloon ride in Laos, and an incredible four-day motorbike loop in Vietnam.
I am now working in the Medical Education sector within a Communications agency, working with pharmaceutical companies to help raise awareness of diseases and treatments and provide support to healthcare professionals.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active by going to the gym, cycling and running. I also have a passion for cooking and baking, with brownies being my speciality. I love spending time with friends and family – whether it’s going out to restaurants, pubs or clubs.”
