Coffee Bar is perfect blend of generosity and community
The couple, who run the much-loved coffee bar, have proudly kept one of our collection tins on their counter for almost 15 years. Their support began after one of their daughter’s friends was helped by the charity before she very sadly lost her battle with cancer.
Talking about why they continue to support Momentum, Neville said:“We have known about Momentum for many years and are incredibly proud to support such an important local charity. Over time, countless customers have shared how much the support from Momentum has meant to them and their families. People always love seeing Mo, the mascot owl, and many are keen to recognise the amazing work Momentum does by leaving a small donation.
This cause is especially close to our hearts. Our daughter’s friend, Janine, spent a great deal of time at Kingston Hospital while being treated for leukaemia. When we visited her, we could see first-hand the difference Momentum made to children and families during such an incredibly difficult time. Although Janine sadly passed away, we were determined to raise as much money as possible so Momentum can continue supporting other families who need them.
We are so grateful to our wonderful regular customers. Even though most people now use contactless payments, many still make a point of bringing cash specifically for the Momentum fundraising tin. It is entirely thanks to their generosity that we have been able to raise such a significant amount.”
We are incredibly grateful to Neville and Crissy, and their wonderful customers. Their ongoing commitment is a shining example of how small, everyday acts of kindness can add up to a life-changing impact. The funds raised are helping Momentum continue to support families across Surrey, Sussex and London, ensuring they never have to face their journey alone.
There are so many different ways you can fundraise for Momentum, and we are here to support you along the way. Find out more
