Young Ambassador

I’m Anna-Maria and I am 20 years old. I am currently at college studying for a BTEC in Media, Film and Television.

I enjoy exercising and my weekends and holidays are full of swimming, Zumba and most importantly, being with my friends. I think it’s important to do things like meditation, yoga, as well as being in nature. These things have really helped me to grow and learn how to deal with difficult times and emotions.

When I was three, I was diagnosed with leukaemia, but I am healthy and well now. Momentum has helped me so much over the years – I’ve painted pebbles with my friend, met Jacqueline Wilson, and enjoyed holidays and day trips on their riverboat.

I have been a Young Ambassador for Momentum for a few years now, and it was a wonderful to be involved in the special event at the Houses of Parliament in January. I feel very honoured to be a Young Ambassador for this wonderful charity and I am looking forward to volunteering at more events this year.
